We didn't start as a software company. We started as property managers—running a portfolio of vacation rentals across multiple markets.
Like every host, we quickly learned that the job is 80% tedious, time-consuming tasks: sending the same welcome messages, programming door codes, coordinating cleaners, answering the same questions over and over.
So we started building internal tools to automate everything and surface the insights we needed. Messages went out automatically. Door codes programmed themselves. And suddenly we could see patterns we'd been missing—and act on them.
